There are a range of options available in order to automate swing gates, which our friendly team of electric gate experts are on hand to assist you choose from.
With swing gates you have the choice of either having the gate motor underground for a more aesthetically pleasing design or having the motor above ground for a more affordable option.
Considerations to take into account with Swing Gates
Space Limitations
If you choose an above ground gate you will need there to be space reserved behind the gate to allow the gate to open, whereas with an underground gate you will need there to be a space at minimum of 6cm from the gate’s post.
Appearance
To get the best visual results you may wish for the gate motor to be installed within the ground rather than on the rear of the gate or neighbouring wall.
Cost
If you are looking to keep the price to a minimum you may wish to choose the above ground option as the below ground option requires additional work to fit the motor underground.
